Dr. Ceylin Yılmaz

Biography

Dr. Ceylin Yılmaz graduated from Muğla 75th Year Science High School, and studied at Hacettepe University Faculty of Dentistry between 2006 and 2011.

She ranked 61st in Turkey in the Specialization Examination in Dentistry and began working as a Research Assistant in Kocaeli University’s Department of Orthodontics in 2012.

She has successful case studies in lower and upper jaw development retardation, lower and upper jaw overdevelopment, rapid upper jaw expansion, surgically assisted upper jaw expansion, orthognathic surgery, impacted teeth, and tooth deficiencies and excesses.

Her treatment approach is shaped by timing. In a growing patient, a problem that would later require surgery can often be guided away with an appliance and patience — which is why she assesses children early even when no treatment is due yet, and why she is candid with adults about what is and is not achievable without surgical support.

She works alongside Dr. Selin Sena Yılmaz at the clinic in Fethiye, where a child seen in the pediatric chair and a teenager seen for orthodontics are followed by the same team. For patients who arrive anxious after years of putting a treatment off, the first appointment is spent explaining rather than treating.
